1900 Hidesaburo Ueno started lectures on irrigation, drainage and land consolidation at Tokyo University
1907 The Society for the Study of Land Consolidation was established

The first issue of “Kochi-seiri Kenkyu”
(Study of Land Consolidation)
1929 The Japanese Society of Irrigation, Drainage and Reclamation Engineering (JSIDRE) was established.
The first issue of “Nogyo-Doboku Kenkyu” (Study of Irrigation, Drainage and Reclamation Engineering)
1931 JSIDRE published the Handbook on Irrigation, Drainage and Reclamation Engineering
1960 The first issue of research papers
1970 JSIDRE was approved as a corporate body from the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture
1978 Celebrated the 50th anniversary
1995 Response to the Southern Hyogo Prefecture Earthquake

2009 Celebrated the 80th anniversary
